About IFERI

Wellcome to IFERI

IFERI stands for gInter Faculty Education and Research Initiativeh. It is an interdisciplinary organization across the Doctoral programs of the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as the Masters Program in Area Studies of the University of Tsukuba. IFERI was initiated by researchers of joint programs and seeks to encourage both faculty and students of single-discipline programs to engage in education and research in terms of a broader perspective. Its objective is to explore new frontiers in the Humanities and Social Sciences and to foster innovative thinking in order to better meet the ever more complex problems of our 21st century global societies.
